Hi Raj,
It is difficult to understand as to why you plan to leave your B.tech that you are already pursuing and willing to take admission through Lateral entry again in B.tech. Firstly, by doing this you will be investing another few years for a Bachelor degree only, and secondly, opting for lateral entry is possible only if you have attained a diploma in engineering. Instead I would suggest you to pursue the course that you have already enrolled for but if you are still keen to go for B.tech from another institute, you will have to start afresh with the course.
