Hello Kartik,
When a student seeks admission in an institute for a particular course, whether he will get admission or not is determined by his position in the merit list & whether he fulfills eligibility criteria or not. Once a student clears JEE Advanced he is cleared to seek admission in any undergraduate course conducted by any of the IIT's. His AIR will decide whether he gets admission or not. For the branches you have mentioned, eligibility criteria is same and hence your merit list number only will decide your admission. You must go for CPA. Reason: CPA gives you a comprehensive knowledge about GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) which is used in the USA. If elsewhere, you must go for ACCA. Reason: ACCA gives you comprehensive knowledge about IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) which is used worldwide. Assuming that you are living in UAE and will continue to do so, you must choose ACCA as it has a joint exam scheme with UAE's accounting institute AAA. So after completing your ACCA, you will have UAE's CA as well.
