I think you are not updated. IIT JEE and AIEEE have been merged and now it is called JEE Mains and Advanced.
Now, Coming to the answer.
You can appear for JEE Mains and on the basis of JEE Mains rank, you can get admission in most of the engineering colleges.
Apart from JEE Mains, you can appear for following exams:
1. WB JEE
2. Orissa JEE
3. BITSAT
4. COMEDK

PGDM and MBA, both have the same value as far as job opportunities are concerned. In India, only universities can offer an MBA degree. As a result, most of the top colleges in India like IIMs, XLRI offer PGDM only. So, your choice must only depend on the quality of the college and not the title of the course.
