In order to pursue Phd from universities in US,you need to first of all make a list of the universities that you aspire for, then send emails to respective course department, asking them to provide you the eligibility criteria and selection procedure for PHD students.
It may take three to six years to complete your PHD, depending on the field you select and your mentor.

If you have a weak body or a diseased body, you will never be able to concentrate on studies and do hard work.Better get yourself fit first.Moreover, you have missed the classes and thus missed many important points useful from exam point of view.Even if the rules permit you to furnish a medical certificate and permit you to sit for the examination, there are less chances that you will get respectable marks.
