First of all, let me tell you a few things that
You should not expect a 4.5 lacs+ package from any RTU AFFILIATED institute. I was allotted JECRC last year through RPET and you would be surprised to know that there are 60k seats for engineering in Rajasthan, out which 55k students filled form for the RPET 33k students appeared for the exam and 11k examinee actually got themselves admitted into the colleges allotted by BTER and out of those 11k ,1050 examinees chose JECRC that is approximately 10%. So you can see a larger portion of engineering aspirants are in JECRC. Now coming to your branch so far I have heard from seniors the college has offered 100% placement for eligible students. Apart from studies you will find a lot of other activities which will help you develop your persona as well. I too am a part of a social group called Zarurat the help beyond (search over facebook) where we every day teach over 150+ kids from slum area near our college and apart from this, there are lots of other activities.

If you had done both Science and mathematics in your 12th class, you can go for B.Tech. There are lots of streams available for you like B.Tech in CSE (Computer Science engineering), Information technology (IT), Mechanical engineering (ME), Civil engineering, Chemical engineering, Biomedical engineering, Biotechnology, Food technology, Electrical engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Electronics and Computer engineering, Automobile engineering, CHE- Petroleum, Aerospace engineering, ME- Mechatronics. The most important thing which rely totally on your area of your interest. When you are sure about your area of interest then you can choose the above engineering streams for pursuing your graduation. There may not be many institutes and universities which will be offering you all such engineering courses in one campus. You should prefer the university or institute which offers you good placements and good practical and industrial exposure also and should have good infrastructure also. There are different institutes and universities which offer such courses are KIIT University, Lovely Professional University, Birla Institute of technology, Jaipur national university and few others.
