In many universities, there are maximum marks of 1000 per semesters. But aggregate is not the average of all marks obtained, there is different weightage of marks in different semesters. All the best.

You have not mentioned the name of college in which you are seeking for admission as all the colleges have different eligibility criteria. You can still take admission in some colleges even if you have failed in 6th subject because there are many colleges that give admission on basis of best 4 subjects marks.
