It was founded in 1985 as SRM Engineering College in Kattankulathur, under University of Madras. It is now (2017) called SRM institute of science and Technology.

The cutoff for mtech previous year was 22-23. You may give it a check on Shiksha's website to get detailed report. Unless you mention your marks I cant tell if you are having chances or not.

when you appear for the screening or counseling, you should carry some proof that you have cleared the qualifying exams. If you don't have that then they would reject your admission. You can also contact the organisers as soon as possible to correct any discrepancy in the application or counseling call letter
