Scope of a programme is a very subjective term and its definition may vary from person to person, so one can define a scope of a programme. However, MCA is a good option for non science stream students who have Math till +2 but the scope of the programme would largely depend on ones own capabilities, the way one performs on the programme, & how one uses the knowledge earned at the time of Job placements.
After completing your MCA you can look for jobs as Programmer, network administrator, system analyzer etc.

Hi Neha,
As you are from commerce background the courses you can opt for are: CA, CWA, CS, Actuarial etc. as all these courses although, longer in duration are money minting courses especially actuarial which offers a very bright future in Insurance sector. Apart from this another good option would be MBA with Finance as a specialization.
I would like to add here that if you make up your mind to do MBA, you should do it from a decent full time Institute like IIMs, MDI, XLRI etc. which will not only give you good practical exposure but also helps you in getting really good job opportunities reason being it helps you in developing your interpersonal and networking skills.

Although, you have not mentioned the specialization of your MBA, but I would say that as you have already done your MBA you would not require any other degree to start your career. Moreover, Event Management is an unplanned sector and still at budding stages in India so you would not find many Institutes providing such a programme. However, if you want to make a career in Event Management there is no dearth of employment in this sector, because of the recent growth of festivals and events. The industry now includes events of all sizes from the Olympics to a breakfast meeting for ten business people. Many industries, charitable organizations, and interest groups will hold events of small & big sizes in order to market themselves, build business relationships, raise money or celebrate.
Few of the Institutes which you may consider are: Amity Institute of Event Management, NIEM, EMDI, CRAFT etc.
