Hi Vipin,
Though open schooling boards such as NIOS are recognized abroad, it's up to the university. They will evaluate your degree as per their norms before confirming your admission. So, it is best you write to them before applying.

I am wondering if Patna University is good for anything except getting a government job and getting a government approved degree. I haven't studied there and have no intention either, definitely there isn't a single good institute in Bihar for business management and professional courses be it engineering medicine or anything. For a government recognized degree, you may opt.

Yes, there are really high chances for you to get a seat at SASTRA University, Thanjavur. There also good chances for you to get the course that you have asked. I think you can also get the other top courses like mechanical, EEE, ECE, etc. Your board exam percentage and JEE Mains marks will be converted into a percentile and the ranks will be put.
97.5(0.75)+98(0.25)=97.6 . On this basis you will be placed on a rank.
On June 10th they will be releasing the rank list which determines your chances of getting a top course. Apply, if you have not as the last date is June 10th.
