You can't compare both the branch because both have their own field of work which are truly awesome. But if you are comparing both the branch in respect of jobs then I must say that you which have abundant of opportunities by having CSE degree in compare to mechanical, the starting amount of salary is much better then you get in mechanical. But if you have a good references then you can earn well in Mechanical would get placed at the post of J. E and would be easily promoted to Production Manager in 45yr. To prepare for NATA go through your 10-12th Physics, chemistry, Maths textbooks once again, also try a few drawing manuals. General aptitude and knowledge about buildings and materials would be helpful. There are a lot of solved question banks for NATA and JEE Paper 2 exams, that would be helpful for you, more than this the sketching ability improvement would be a great addition for these exams. The question banks cover the majority of syllabus of NATA of all years.

Hi Subhajit,
One can apply for this course having a maximum gap of 3 years between 10+2 and the course at SXCKOL. Suppose you passed 10+2 in 2014 so the latest year you can apply for this course is 2017 which is done already. You can apply after doing B.Ed(hons) but the gap only can be 3 years max. As I already said.
When you asked the question the last date for this year's application was already over. Anyway, if you have completed 10+2 in 2015 you can apply for the course next year too. For that visit the college website in May'18. Other colleges might have different rules.
Anyway, you also can avail PGDM in Mass Communication or dip
