Aircraft maintenance engineers ( AME ) work in the engineering and maintenance department of an airline to ensure the availability of a safe and airworthy aircraft for an airline.

A course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is not a degree but a license course and only those institutes approved by the DGCA can impart training in this subject.
This training course is rigorous and only a few institutes offer training on heavy aircraft and jet engines. Total training cost will be around 1.5 lakh.

Eligibility :
A student from the Science stream with a minimum of 50% (some institutes need 60%) in class 12th is eligible for a 3 year certificate course on aircraft maintenance engineering conducted by training schools approved by the DGCA.

After the successful completion of AME course you can appear and qualify for AMAeSI (Associate Membership of Aeronautical Society of India) which is fully recognized by Government of India/ State Government/ Union Public Service Commission/ GATE for MTech admission/ Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd/ Indian Airlines/ Air India/ BHEL/ DRDO/ NAL/ IAF/ Coast Guard/ Airline Industries/ Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi/ Madras Institute of Technology as equivalent to BE/ BTech (Aeronautical Engineering).

MA is the world standard for PG Degree in Mass Communication. MS and not MSc is offered in some universities to students who pursue Master's through research.
To answer your other question, yes Hyderabad University is theoretically strong but they have bifurcated theory and practice. Many would call it counterproductive because theory and practice are symbiotic. I could be wrong but often one hears from their own students that they are not trained for mainstream media and they have to seek research pastures abroad which is academically great for the institute but what about the student? On the other hand, Osmania University students in Hyderabad are far more active politically or otherwise and they tend to do much better in media. I think the faculty there knows what it is doing.

Yes, NSL offers Ph.D. in Leadership (External, Research based)
