Both courses are good and both have lot of opportunity to make a bright career but it depend on you in which side you have more interest and you want to make your career. If you are interested in management then go for BBA and if you are interested in computer then go for BCA but i would suggest y 2 go 4 BCA is a better option as compared to BBA because BCA is a technical degree and there are better job options after doing BCA and you can do MCA, THEN M-TECH, THEN PHD.if u want to work in top IT companies like Wipro, Infoysis, TCS, HCL and Many Other companies then BCA is the best course for you.
All the best for y futu

As you told you have done diploma in Mechanical Engineering :Go for Higher Studies
I think you should go for B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
As Mechanical Engineering is only branch which is evergreen and it has very large scope.
You can directly get admission in B.Tech 2nd year by qualifying the written entrance exam of LEET or otherwise you can do some certification courses in AutoCAD, Pro/engineer etc
Go for it , Best of LuckShams
