No, in fact B.Sc with specialization in Zoology is a very nice course. If one is desirous to do higher studies and/or join the teaching side then it is very nice course. Additionally, after doing the course one can appear for Indian Forest Service (IFoS) exam. Even positions are available in Central Government Offices like Zoological Survey of India, etc. For Research Fellows/Doctoral degree holders.

The first point is of your interest towards subject.
If you like to do M.Sc, then IIT's is good option. If you want to join government services, then UPSC, SSC & other state level exam is good option.

It depends upon the job profile and job types. You can go in IT sector through developing programming languages. You can go to embedded companies or the companies, who prefer IOT developers. You can choose to go in VLSI fields. You have the option to go in PSUs after cracking GATE with good score. You can opt to go in IES by scoring good marks in ESE exams. Plenty of opportunities are there, if you choose to go in merchant navy, then also you can choose to go for ETO in merchant Navy.
You can go in defense sectors. You can apply to various PSUs who took their own exams. Like ISRO, BARC, NIELIT,
