A good percentile would be close to 70 for admission to a good institute, but then candidate profile matters after the initial screening as the weightage to CAT percentile is not more that 12percentile by most of the B-Schools. Finance and Banking is a good choice but if he has a technical bend of mind then he can look at FINTECH as an option from a B-School recognized by AICTE. Analysts are the best paid these days and FINTECH would give him that edge.

I find your query is quite interesting. Let me try to answer. A student after passing 10th exam has two choices. Firstly he can continue for 11th and 12th and pass his HSC exam. The second choice is to seek admission in Polytechnic for doing Diploma. Many students follow this route and then subsequently take admission in an Engineering College via what is known as lateral admission mode. Here I would like to caution you. The students who follow this are unable to study any other course since the minimum requirement of any other course is invariably 12th. So, please be aware of this before you decide your next course of action.

Lots to do. Commerce or Arts. Commerce you can do BHM BBA and others which are wider scope in the present scenario. You can specialise in anyone in MBA to choose the right decision. Humanities options to become Psychology student or other subjects are equally valued when studied. You can get into teaching profession. You can choose B.A. Literature you can work for content writing agency and earn your money. Everything has scope we need to find the right direction to lead towards it. First, let me clear you that it is not IIFT Kanikada. Its IIFT Kakinada which is sister campus of IIFT Delhi and Kolkata, it is newly opened campus and it takes few years to come in track though it has many thing to refurbish but it is brand in itself. It takes couple of years to establish after that you will enjoy the scholar of their brand. So, if you are willing to join this year only then go for it else give one more try for Iims and other top B-School. Choice is yours.
