I prefer you to go for completing the Degree, if you try for jobs now. You can get some jobs, but you will not be getting good salaries and facilities. After Diploma, you have studied half of the engineering and remaining is the degree. After Degree, you will have lots of opportunities in life, but with Diploma, the case is not same. You are bounded to some Exams. After Diploma, you can easily apply for Defense services on good ranks, below commissioned Officers. But, after degree, you can apply for both junior officers and commissioned.

You can pursue various courses through distance education. But, would you be able to study for both? What if the exam dates collide? There is no law that is stopping you from pursuing both the courses through open mode. But, it is a question of practicality. You can do MBA later too without any consequences.

You should choose subject in class 12th according to the course you want to pursue later. You can take PCM Group, if you want to do BCA B.Tech or B.Sc, or PCB Group, if you want to do MBBS MS etc. and Commerce group, if you want to pursue M.Com CA etc. For BA and MBA, your class 12th subjects don't matter.

For BA, you can pursue anything in class 12th. There is no subject eligibility criteria for BA. But, I would suggest pursuing science, as it could later help you to pursue many other courses. You can take English and Hindi Literature in class 12th if you want. That could help but not much.
