At MEC Kochi, the highest number of placements are offered in the CSE branch, but other branches also offer a good packages in this college. In this emerging world more focuses are given in the techonology to do the work in a easier way rather than doing it in a manual way so more emphasis is given in this CSE branch and students also prefer this CSE branch to be more valuable than other branches to work as a software developer in all this multinational companies. Undoubtly TKM is also an good college but whenever it comes to MEC College that is Model Engineering College then generally it is considered to be an better option and founded to be a better one than TKM College. In the current year of 2022 the NIRF ranking MEC College is found to be the 3rd among engineering college in the Kerala State. On the other hand TKM was found to be 8th position in the NIRF ranking. The MEC offers a better placement than TKM colleges just because of its excellency of the students in the different fields. As per the record,  the highest packages offered to the TKM College is around INR 10 LPA but on the contrary MEC College offers the highest package of INR 30 LPA that makes it better from TKM College.

Although the college has not released the placement data of the current year 2023 but earlier around 415 offers came to the college in the year of 2022. Model Engineering College or MEC is a government cost-sharing technical institute and research centre in Thrikkakara, Kochi, Kerala, India. The eligibility criteria for admission is 60% and GATE score.
