Diploma is a type of certificate awarded to a student who has completed a three year course in some branch of engineering after passing 10th exam. Degree (B.Tech/BE) is awarded by a university after completion of 4 year course for which eligibility is 12th.

12th Science stream students are eligible to apply for this course. Both PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) as well as PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) group students are eligible for this course.

We can divide science at +2 in two parts.
1) Pure Science: This has subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Famously known as PCM.
Pure Science is generally opted by candidates those are good in Maths and wanted to explore there career in Engineering, Aeronautics and Space Science etc. In India for pursuing Engineering i.e; B.E./B.Tech it is mandatory to appear for entrance exam.
