To get into actuarial science you need to have a strong background in maths and statistics.
It is used largely in credit and insurance industries that need to use risk on an ongoing basis. The Actuarial Science examinations can be done through the ASI (Actuarial Society of India). Once qualified, most actuaries are employed by the insurance companies — national and multinational.
Eligibility Criteria :
A person is eligible to be considered for admission as student member if he / she satisfies the following conditions .
1. Should have completed 18 years of age
2. Should have attained anyone of the following Educational Standards
a. Passed 10+2 (H.S.C) or equivalent with at least 85% in Mathematics / Statistics
b. Graduate or Post Graduate in Maths/Stats/Econometrics
c. Any Engineer / CA / CS / MBA (Finance) / MCA

-B.Sc. in Actuarial Science- DS Actuarial Education Services Private Limited, Vile Parle West, Mumbai
-Actuarial Profession - Part Time, Certification - Institute of Actuaries of India, Mumbai
Graduate Courses:-
B.A (Insurance)
Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science
Eligibility: Candidates who wish to pursue a Undergraduate in actuarial science or a certificate course in actuarial science should have a pass class in the XII standard.
Post Graduate Course:-
M.S.C in Actuarial Science
Master’s program in Insurance Business
MBA in Actuarial Science
PG Diploma in Certified Risk and Insurance management
PG Diploma in Insurance Science
Post graduate diploma in Actuarial Science
Eligibility: Candidates who wish to go for PG courses should have Bachelor’s degree.
Admission will be on the basis of the merit scored in the institute’s entrance exam.
