HI Ekansh, application to US is a 1 yr process. So must begin applying form Sep/oct for admission. SO ideally this is the month when you should be taking the exams. If its not possible, as there is no point in taking the exam without preparation try giving it in SEp or oct. But latest by Nov you must apply as after Nov/dec most of the univ are closed for admission or have rolling admissions only if seats are left vacant.
