The series 3 exams are mainly for those people who are trading in ForEx (foreign exchange) & are under the jurisdiction of the NFA i.e., registered with the NFA (National Futures Association) or are taken by those foreign entities who wish to do business with U.S. customers as they are required to register with the NFA (National Futures Association).
As far as the scope is concerned, although, it largely depends on the individual capabilities to excel in any field but, the people who series 3 exam can get good job opportunities. After passing this exam the individual will be able to work in many different areas of the stock market & also can get work at the larger brokerage firms.
