Shruti, I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up Programming and take a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. See the IT company's credentials on the net. for example if someone provide LIVE PROJECTS are they there near the TOP on PORTALS like JUSTDIAL? Or if the company is registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) - all good IT companies are registered with STPI. If a company spends money to market themselves to customers, only then they are able to get LIVE PROJECTS. Also, if you are an average programmer, and if you you're better with creative work, then you can head for web design or even vfx/ animation since there is a huge requirement coming up in that domain. There is also an intermediate path in games design and development. Wish you the best for your career. Opting for MBA or PGDM could be mind-boggling, especially when the time is running away and you're required to take a quick decision. That's why it's important guys that you plan well ahead about your PG before completing your graduation. I too had a huge headache :D when umpiring for – MBA Vs PGDM.
Okay, so it all boils down to the accreditation status of the institute. Your potential PGDM institute should have an AICTE accreditation while your potential institute's affiliated university should be under UGC control. Now, whether to opt for MBA or PGDM totally depends on your choice. But as for me, PGDM is not necessarily equivalent to MBA. I believe PGDM institutes need another AIU accreditation to match up its level to MBA. Talking about institutes, I think for PGDM, Indira Institute of Management & for MBA, Global Business Management Institute is good.
