NSHM Knowledge Campus has campuses at two locations I. e. Kolkata & Durgapur in West Bengal. It has different schools in both campuses. It's school of Hotel Management offers two courses that are equivalent to engineering degree hence recognised by AICTE & the degree is awarded by Maulana Azad University, the central technological university of West Bengal. Both the courses are of four year's duration and quite well taken up by students. On the other hand Frankfinn Institute is perhaps the best known name in the field of training of airhostess. This was started by the institute way back in 1993. It has been recognised by industry body as the best in business of Airhostess training. Perhaps seeing potential and to use brand value it has forayed into Hospitality as well as tourism related courses also. In conclusion, I would say that if one wishes to go for hotel management then the choice is NSHM but if the requirement is for training as cabin crew then the choice would be Frankfinn Institute.

Veer Narmad South Gujrat University was established around year 1965 as South Gujrat University. In 2002 it was renamed as Veer Narmad. University has a big campus of around 800 acres. It offers many courses at its campus in Surat along with different colleges affiliated to it in the six districts of South Gujrat along with union territory. But unfortunately, I could not find any reference to the course on Travel & Tourism. On the hand, Asia Pacific Institute of Management, located in Delhi started functioning around the year 1996. It's a great institute having bagged position of 11th overall in the whole of North India. This institute conducts many courses but from the website of this institute, there is no mention of any course on Travel & Tourism.To conclude I would like to confess that I'm not able to see any course related to Travel & Tourism in both of these institutes.

Dr. YSR National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management was formed in year 2004 in Gachibaoli area of Hyderabad jointly by the central and state government. It's an autonomous institute, which offers plethora of courses. Admission is done through an all India test. Some of the courses are as per IGNOU syllabus and, hence students get degree from there. Some are affiliated with skill development council of Telangana. Kuoni Academy of travel and tourism was established in year 2003 in Mumbai. It has really wide variety of courses in almost all fields of travel & tourism. These range from three months to twelve months. This institution was awarded 'Top performing IATA authorized Centre' of year 2016. It also boasts of 100% placements.To conclude, I would say that if one is insistent on obtaining degree from a recognized university in this field, then Dr YSR National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management is the place. But, on the other hand if one is interested in IATA accepted training programmes and that too of short durations in variety of subjects, then Kuoni Academy is the place.

Nalanda School of Management is located in Gomati Nagar of Lucknow. It was established as an open university that offer courses in management to working people who want to gain knowledge, but do not have time for regular studies. It's courses were designed by combining team of BHU IIT & IIM Lucknow. It offers many courses through distance education mode, but could not find any course related to Travel & Tourism on its website.
Thomas Cook is an old and trusted name in the field of Travel & Tourism. Initially, they started this centre of learning to train new inductees in their organization. However, perhaps seeing its potential as a business venture, Thomas Cook has developed their center of learning into a full-fledged institute, where everything about travel and Tourism is taught. In view of the foregoing, I would recommend Thomas Cook Centre of Learning for admission to anybody who wants to make career in Travel and Tourism.

Bangalore Management Academy, located in Bangalore was established in year 2005. It offers post graduate courses in management with different domains. One of them is Tourism. It apparently had tie up with some universities abroad, which gave it an international character. There is a red herring also in that some sources say that this academy has closed down for want of students. But, of course this needs to be checked.
On the other hand, Trade Wings, Mumbai was incorporated in year 1949. It was a premier establishment to offer services in travel. It opened its Institute of Management in year 1989 for imparting training to its inductees as well as to other students. It pioneer is in training thousands of youngsters in the field of Travel and Tourism besides logistics management and hospitality sector. It has presence in more than 50 locations in India and trains thousands of students every year.To conclude, my vote goes to Trade Wings Academy of Management, simply because they have more than 20 different courses to choose from and, also it is presence in more than 50 locations across India.

IIHM (International Institute of Hotel Management) and Rig Institute are very well known institutes in the field of hospitality & travel. They both offer a variety of courses in the sector and are known to have a very good infrastructure in the campus for the training of students. Both institutes offer the degree programs in affiliation with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and these programs are distance learning degrees, however, the training is provided completely in regular mode. The major difference in the admission process lies in the entrance exam. IIHM admissions are based on IIHM eCHAT whereas, RIG takes admission on basis of merit of 10+2. They hold some scholarships for the ranking student of the NCHMCT JEE exam. However, as a preference, it would be advisable to go for IIHM as the first choice as the same has a large number of branches and holds stronger connections in the placement of the hospitality & travel sector. This results in better placements. Some of the top recruiting companies have been Cox& king, MakeMyTrip, Yatra, Thomas Cook, etc.
