Well, both the universities are good and in each of their expertise. They both have all kinds of accreditation and achievements in their bucket. But if I talk overall, I think LPU is much better. LPU has always been ahead in many terms like placements, exposure, opportunities, infrastructure, facilities, and also faculty members. LPU is not just limited to engineering or management they offer more than 200+ courses and all have good placements and education quality. LPU well-known university for engineering but not limited to that. The university is also known for programs like MBA, Business Management, Design, Hotel Management, Law, Pharmacy among others. Placement: LPU has an excellent placement record for every year. Tanya Arora, a promising third-year B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student at the university bagged a job with Microsoft, at a salary of Rs 42 lacs. Similarly, there are tons of students who've achieved a minimum package of 5-10 Lacs in campus placements.
The best part is LPU tarins their students for placement students get PEP classes where they've trained for interviews GD etc. They're are also taught aptitude and analytical reasoning classes. All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. The scope of Public Health is dynamic and ever changing and in coming decades there will always be need of public health professionals. The government schemes such as National Health Mission, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karykram, etc. requires lot's of trained public health professional so we can assume there will be a number of contractual jobs and few permanent jobs. Secondly, scope lies in health care analytic, big data, GIS as we have just started with Integrated Disease Surveillance Program which is being established as a CDC like surveillance system in India. The above mentioned also has a broad level of application in consulting firms, policy related research and evidence generation.
Further, research is one more of the avenues which is slowly coming up in form of research based jobs, research networks and public health labs some of the research firms are PHFI, INCLEN, JPAL Poverty Lab, NHRC. The immense grass-roots action in form of not for profits requires constant level of entry and mid level jobs for MPH graduates. The insurance sector with its boom due to the opening of the sector to international players offers a number of job openings.
