Doctoral course in economics is a program at research level (PhD/ or other equivalent research) and to pursue this program you require a minimum of a Masters degree in the similar field and without which it would not be possible to pursue a PhD in Economics.

If university offers you work placement that dosen't mean that you will get the placement for sure , you have to compete your fellow partners inorder to get the job as its a cut throat competition . I suggest you to go for the jan intake because for september its almost 12 months left so rather then wasting this precious time join some university. And let me tell you Leeds Metropolitan University is a modern university and a good university. BCA and MCA are the best course options if you are keen to pursue a career in IT and technical field, and are from a non-science background. BCA is a Bachelor course and MCA a Masters and to pursue MCA you would require a BCA degree from a recognized University.

There are bridge courses available but in few of the choosen subjects only like IGNOU gives a bridge course in Maths, but that is for students who have not taken Maths in 10+2 and this is for them to take up programs like MCA etc.

There are many institutes in India which are offering MBA in Health Care like IHMR, MKU Madurai, TISS and to get to these institutes the minimum requirement is to qualify the entrances like CAT. The minimum eligibility required to be eligible to write the entrance is a Bachelors from a recognized University with about 50% aggregate in the same.
