It is always advised to opt for a Masters degree rather than a PG Diploma course but in case of Tourism, there are hardly any institutes offering Masters degree courses, yet you may refer to the following link to know about the institutes offering degree courses:

Frankly speaking as there is no public rating or neutral ranking for distance learning or correspondence programs all such institutes are equally placed. However, few of the things which you should keep in mind while choosing such an Institute are:
1) Recognition by educational council (it is important that distance learning Institute should have a recognition of UGC/ AICTE & DEC) only DEC would not suffice
2) Study Material
3) Faculty & online support provided or not
4) Number of classes given
Keeping these things in mind you can do a comparative analysis of the various Institutes and take your decision.
Hope this will be of help.

If you are from Computer Science or related stream then you have a lot of options for getting better placements. You can opt from a number of courses available including Oracle, Java, .NET, PHP, IBM Mainframe, Lotus, CCNA/MCSE/RHCE, DB2, SQT, etc.
Any of these will surely help you during placements, but if you are targeting for companies like Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and other high profile ones, then you should master the programming concepts as from freshers that is all they stress for.
Data Structures practice is heavily demanded and so you should consider making some real time projects using Data Structures.
Best of luck
