AMIETE is a graduate-level examination equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. The programme is recognized by the Government of India, UPSSC and AIU
The examination is conducted in June and December across India and a few places abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:
12 Pass with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized college
3 year Diploma course in either Engineering or Technology with Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 with work ex or
Currently studying for higher education in Physics, Electrical, Electronics and/or Computer stream.
Age Criteria:
10+2 holders should not be less than 16 years of age
Diploma holders should not be less than 18 years of age.
Application Fees:
The cutoff to submit form for the June exam is 25th April, with late fees till 5th May
The cutoff to submit form for the 25th October for the December exam, with late fees till 5th November. Late Fees: 300rs

Indias IT-BPM industry is projected to grow ~8% in FY2017 to USD 154 billion. In light of the very disruptive emerging technologies, the industry is re-imagining itself to become the Digital Solutions Partner for the world. CSE & IT grads from top engineering colleges have excellent career opportunities. Indian industry's first choce is B.Tech CSE graduates and the B.Tech IT graduates.
Syllabus of B.Tech CS and B.Tech IT is similar up to 80 to 90% in various universities. B.Tech CSE graduates can work both as Systems and Apps programmer whereas B.Tech IT graduates is trained only as Apps programmer. Market acceptance of both degrees is almost similar in Apps Development and Maintenance companies. However IT Product companies prefer B.Tech CSE graduates. In any engineering entrance examination seats of B.Tech CSE are first to be filled.

Candidates should have possessed following eligibility criteria defined by IGNOU for B.Ed. Program:1.Candidates with at least fifty (55) percent marks either in the Bachelors Degree and/or in the Masters Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity, Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme (and);The following categories are eligible to be the students of B.Ed. (ODL):
(i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education (Or);(ii) Candidates who have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode.
