Most of them do and some even conduct their own tests. These days we have good private universities too that are at par with government institutions. Opt for some of the good private universities like LPU, SRM, VIT, etc. Offering various specializations in B.Tech. They have their different criteria for admissions. Admission process: Depends on the institute. It could be merit based admission process or direct admission process. If merit based admission is followed in an institute, marks scored by a candidate in board exam and/or relevant entrance test will be taken into consideration.
