From this year, HBTI is taking admission via JEE Mains, so we are also not aware of the exact cut-off, however, since it is a govt. college the cutoff must be high so you need to score well in JEE Mains to get admission there.

If your home state region is Karnataka, you may get it in last rounds, but if you belong to states other than Karnataka then the chances are very less.

Generally syllabus of any BA Pass and BA (Hons.) degree is similar in majority of the universities. Rigor and depth of courses covered in honors course is higher in comparison to pass courses. Also few universities allows honors student to choose electives. Nowadays employers prefer honors degree holder over pass degree holders.

As of date CBSE has not announced any bonus marks for JEE 2017 paper.
