Hi,
All the fields in science and technology have their own importance. It is true some new fields are in growing stage and some classical fields are already developed based on the frequency of research work. Each and every field has quantum of contribution in development of environment and its civilization. So, I suggest you better not to consider different wings of science in comparative outlook rather go ahead based on your interest.

You have made a wrong decision by dropping your engineering. Now PG degree courses are available after graduation. So don't take a long route, go for any photography institute learn aspects of photography, because there is no such area to learn particular photography interest. After passing go to travel magazine or newspaper publishing house to be a travel photographer.
