Well, honestly, there is no certainity in anything. Exactly like, Getting into an IIM also doesn't guarantee you a job. Similarly, not getting into an IIM doesn't mean that your studies are of no worth.

For pursuing any Masters course in business management be it MBA or PGDM you have to first appear for a national/international level entrance examination like CAT, XAT, GMAT etc.
Excluding the IIMs, for any other institute you have to apply for the institute separately apart from CAT. The institute might conduct an examination of its own or might use your CAT, XAT, GMAT score for offering you admissions.

You will be loosing two years if you follow this path. I would strongly advise you to prepare hard for entrance exams for engineering and join an engineering college after 12th rather than going to diploma and then seeking admission.
