You'll be eligible for the further GD/PI rounds. According to last admission process, they shortlist the students mostly above 90 percentile for admissions. So you have got a good chance of converting. The average package is somewhere around Rs 5-6 lakhs for marketing. Hope this helps. All the best!

Hi,
Yes, as per the new amendment, the student should have PCM as subjects in class 12th with minimum 50%. Accordingly, you are not eligible. But, Council of Architecture is yet to clarify whether this rule is applicable for this year or from next year onwards.

To pursue MS or MCA in any of the countries mentioned, you have to pursue B.Tech or a degree. You also have to crack GRE to study in USA and some universities of Australia and Canada. You have to appear for IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score in GRE is 300 and in IELTS is 6.5 or 80 in TOEFL to get admission in a decent university.

Hi Vikram,
I guess CMAT is out of 400. So, you need to have 200, i.e 50% mark to get a call from the institute. Placements are good. You can see placement and package details of IPE the Shiksha page also.

IFMR is one of the premier B -Schools in India.The rankings of IFMR are increasing every year and also it's average salary. As on 31st Dec. 2016, the average salary of the batch passing out in 2017 is Rs. 9 lakhs per annum and highest package is Rs. 14 lakhs per annum. The application process will close by Feb 15. It's CAT/XAT cut-off is 80 percentile and CMAT cut-off is 91 percentile.

SAT is not a course. It is an entrance exam to study abroad and you cannot compare C+ and SAT because they have no relation.

Hi Vinodh,
500 is considered to be a very less GMAT score, so there won't be any top colleges which could be interested to admit you, unless you have a very extraordinary profile such as awards, achievements, extra-curricular, etc.
What are you planning to study? I will advise you to refer to some ranking charts like QS and know the university ranking. You can visit the university websites for specific requirements.

Since, I am in the first year I don't know much about the placement. But I know for CS branch average package is Rs 7.9 lakhs. Last Microsoft took a PESITIAN for Rs 24 lakhs. As our college is in Bangalore huge number of IT companies visit our college. Especially for CS, PES has a track record of 100% placement.

Yes, chances are bright for 85+ percentile in CMAT.
Placements: Companies like Accenture, Morgan Stanley, Axis Bank, Citi bank, HDFC, JLL, etc. came for executive placements this year. The average package went around 8 LPA and the highest package was 15 LPA. About 40 percent students got placed on the 1st day of the placement week. Approximately 200 to 250 companies come for recruitment every year.

Abused, don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. You can do an accounting technician course.
A candidate who opts exclusively for Accounting Technician course and register for it requires to undergo a study course of eight months, 35 hours orientation programme and 100 hours ITT before appearing in Accounting Technician Examination (ATE). It is to be noted that Group-I of Intermediate (IPC) course is equivalent to ATC. After passing the Accounting Technician Examination (ATE), he will also be required to complete 12-month of work experience, as per the guidelines of the Council and on the production of a certificate to this effect; he will be issued Accounting Technician Certificate.
