H3PO3 on heating dissociates into orthophosphoricacid (H3PO4) and phosphine (PH3). Since, the oxidation states of orthophosphorous acid (H3PO3), orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4) and phosphine (PH3) are +3, +5 and -3 respectively, this reaction is known as a disproportionate reaction (since the oxidation states of one of the product are positive and the other is negative). The reaction is as follows.

The basicity of a compound is defined as the number of acidic hydrogen atoms present in the compound. For a hydrogen atom to be acidic, it should be bonded to a strongly electronegative element like fluorine or oxygen atom.

As shown in the figure, 3 hydrogen atoms (green circled) are attached to an oxygen atom, which makes them acidic. Hence, the basicity of H3PO4 is 3.

You can surely get admission to the B Tech Food Technology course without giving the entrance exam. While top colleges require valid entrance exam scores, there are more than 50 colleges that give admission on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks. These colleges often take extra rounds like the GD or PI following the merit cutoff release.

For example, in Tamil Nadu, students appear for the TNEA Counselling after 12th to get admission to various engineering programs at top government-funded colleges.

Generally, in CCl4, all the C-Cl bonds are equal. But that is not in the case of PCl5. All the bonds in PCl5 are not similar. It has three equatorial and two axial bonds. Therefore, when PCl5 is heated strongly, the axial bonds breakdown and thus PCl5 decomposes to PCl3.

The BTech in Food Technology entrance tests are usually moderately challenging. The level of difficulty varies on the basis of the particular exam you're appearing for, whether it is at the national/state/college level. You need to have a strong hold on the PCM subjects, general aptitude, and logical reasoning sections to get excellent marks.
Further, the difficulty level also depends on previous year results, student feedback, and the number of student applications received. You just need to focus on putting your best foot forward and getting good marks to secure a seat at a good college.

Of course, there is a marks relaxation policy followed across almost all the BTech Food Technology colleges in India, where students belonging to any of the reserved categories like the SC/ST/OBC/PwD are usually given a relaxation of 5% marks for admission to the course.
For example, if the general category student needs a minimum of 60% marks to be eligible for admission, you need 55%, and a similar approach is followed for the entrance exam cutoffs as well. Rest, you can go to the official college websites that you're targeting to have better clarity about their individual admission policies.
