Although, both the institutes are decent Institute of Business Mangement is affiliated with Jadavpur Uiversity & approved by AICTE where as University of Calcutta is a UGC approved University.
The opinion on selection of an Institute can vary from person to person, according to me I would give prefrence to University over the Institute. Firstly, because of the better Infrastructure, bigger Campus(as it will have several departments & colleges under one campus), these things give you better exposure, not only this University will give you its own degree where as Institute which is affiliated with some University will give you the deg
