To do a BCOM you need to have a 10+2 / XII with mathematics. Online BCOM programs are rare and it is always preferable to do a full time course or as a private student rather than online programs.
This graduation will be your base for your career and further education

You can look at two options. The first option is to work on weekends. The second option is to join a BPO, and work in the night shift. This would unarguably be hectic. I would also suggest you look the other way round. Take up a full time job which matches with your skill sets, and do your MBA part time or correspondence, from a reputed institute.

Hi Shivaji,
The best source to get the syllabus is the institute itself, because at times you don't even get the syllabus details on their website. So, I would suggest you to contact the Institute directly. I am also placing the link which gives the MBA syllabus of Karnataka University but it is for a regular full time MBA:
http://tinyurl.com/342jnrr
I am really doubtful if Karnataka University has a distance MBA program. Do let me know if you are talking about Karnataka State Open University or Karnataka University.

Executive MBAs are programs which are naturally for working professionals who are into managerial job responsibility and those who want to polish their managerial skills. Correspondence MBA is where you stay at home or at work and then do it at your free time(especiallay SAT & SUN). Both are different as far as study methodology is concerned.
As far as the value. Understand that an MBA be is correspondence or Executive MBA. will get you to a JOB INTERVIEW ONLY. whether you get the job or not is based on your knowledge and presentation skills. In short. it depends on how well you can market yourself in making the person realise that yo

Pay attention to minute details such as the expression, vocabulary, precision, grammar and your communication ability and lucidity. Good written English is essential for clearing the written papers of the CAT 2010. You can improve your written English in many ways; for starters, read a National Daily Newspaper like the Hindu, Times of India or the Hindustan Times every day and at least three weekly News Magazines on a weekly basis.A large number of students who qualify the CAT test are from the engineering background and hence are good in Maths. The others aspiring to do an MBA must not underestimate the importance of this subject in c

Hi Pradeep,
As there is no neutral ranking or public rating for distance learning/ correspondence programs it would not be possible to judge an Institutes quality. Moreover as this is an education portal which believes in giving unbiased opinion about education and career, it would be unfair to put our personal view here. I would suggest that before going for PTU you should explore all the other options available in distance learning and do a comparative study. Compare the study material, infrastructure, whether there will be classes if yes, the number of classes being given, whether there is a faculty support given or not etc.
