While choosing your career stream you should always keep in mind your own interests and career aspirations, as you have chosen Metallurgy as your field of interest, which mostly deals in producing, refining or manufacturing metals or metallic products, you would mostly find jobs in a manufacturing plant / Unit. However, if you dont want to get into the backend process you can opt for Research and teaching related fields.
MBA can also be a good option but then again your MBA will help you to get to the higher levels in your own field but yes, if you go for specializations like Operations or sales and marketing, you will get involved in activities like client handling and interacting with dealers etc. which will bring you to the front end roles and you dont have to get into those manufacturing related jobs.

and after 32 years you want to become a teacher is one of the best things in life. coz teaching is a noble job. there is no ample amount but you get respect, security and satisfaction from your service which other jobs never.
there are some institutes and universities whcih provide online / distance BEd, like YCMOU, IGNOU, SNDT, Sikkim Manipal, Karnatak University, Kerala Univeristy, Annamalai Univeristy and many more. the fees of the course is also reasonable.
being enviroment of globalization and government's good environments for educational sector you have a lot scope to achieve your goals in the field.

Hi Hans,
As you are interested in IAS, I would like to say that their are two stages that you need to clear- preliminary exam and main exam. In order to prepare for IAS the minimum requirement is graduation from a recognized university and the age group is 21-30yrs. For your preparation I would suggest you to first join a good coaching center so that you have the relevant study material to start your preparation. Now lets come to the most important part that is self study which is very essential as IAS or UPSC exams are not that easy to crack and to crack the exam you really have to prioritize your time. For self study you can start with reading newspapers and books related to current affairs and Gk, if you want you can refer to Manorama Year book which is one good book for GK and current affairs.

Yes, you are eligible to sit for Civil Services Examination & as it is a tough nut to crack and needs lot of focus, hard work & perseverance
There are two stages in this Exam: Preliminary & Main.
Prelim: with the changed pattern of Prelim Exam, now instead of subject Knowledge you have to focus more on areas like decision making skills, logical and analytical abilities and the knowledge in the services in which you want to pursue your career. Since the preliminary exam is an elimination round the candidate should also learn to focus only on the information needed and filter out the rest.
Mains: the preparation of Mains should start at least a year in advance. Just because you have to prepare for Essay, GS and the two optional you never get enough time (to prepare for all these) Further, it is on the basis of your performance in Mains, on which mainly depends the final outcome of your efforts. You should think about appearing in the Prelims only when you have had a strong grip over the Mains' subject matter.

Hi Riyas, there may not be courses in Cyber networking and Cyber Security. But if you would like you can opt for MS in Networks or MS in computer security. There are a few universities offering the course. You can try in top univ like Loughborough and Lancaster or in mediocre ranking universities like Sheffield Hallam, Greenwich, Glasgow Caledonian. The only exam that you will need to write to gain admission into this program is either IELTS or TOEFL. For any PG course the minimum requirement is 6.5. There are various types of tests available in TOEFL like CBT, Paper Based, ibt. Depending on which one you write equivalent scores are expected.

Hi Kaushal, Every country has some positive points and some negatives. You need to decide which one meeting your profile and career plan. No doubts both countries have 2 years Master degree. For USA, you need to clear TOEFL and GRE exam and for Australia only IELTS. Budget wise USA might be costlier (in general) compare to Australia as in Australia you can work part time from first day off campus.
