Although, there is no set prerequisite, generally, it is recommended that you have minimum 1-2 years of technical experience or professional qualification like B.E, B.Tech, MBA, CA or equivalent credentials.
I would like to add here that it will also depend on the module you want to opt for whether you want to go for a Technical module or Functional one. If you are looking for technical module you need to either have an Engineering degree or have a good technical knowledge, for functional modules more important would that you have experience in the stream in which you want to do SAP

You have not clearly mentioned that in UPSC, for which services you are gearing to prepare, any how the UPSC takes place in two levels: CSAT and then the Main exam.
CSAT is an Objective type examination consisting of Two Papers that is common to all candidates from 2011 having special emphasis on testing their aptitude for civil services as well as on general knowledge.
Main exam is a descriptive (essay type) examination. The General Studies, Essay paper, English Paper are common to all candidates and with this a candidate has two optional subjects to choose from the given options and a language paper of his / her choice.
