Don't go for online mode if you are seriously looking for a career in HR. Take proper classroom training as companies would be more interested in classroom training rather than the online mode.

Obviously physics/ chemistry. Agriculture is a good subject but scope for the job is limited. Also, I know some colleges where biology in 10+2 level is a must for agriculture studies. From physics at graduation level, you can select bio-physics in Masters. Similarly, biochemistry for chemistry. Basically physics, chemistry has versatility in the field of higher studies or jobs. But agricultural studies in only one way course. I will strongly recommend P/C.

The best magazine/book for current affairs depends on your intended use. If this is needed for competitive exams; then it's Competition Success Review.
If you like to generally keep up with current affairs; Week; India Today, Outlook, Open Magazine, Caravan etc. Most magazines have different sections; op-eds; noted columnists pontificating with their perspective on world issues.
