Appraiser Bias can lead to errors. Besides some appraisers are biased to certain qualities which they find in some candidates and are be overridden by these qualities. A 360 degree appraisal can help minimise the errors. Questionaires can some times make appraiser blind if the appraisee was trained for that prior to appraisal. Assessment Centres must be carefully handled and immediate boss or relatives shall not get into the appraisal process of the assessee. But assessement centres are quite common. Use of critical Incidents technique is another viable option especially if you are being accessed for military level of qualities.

mansi, human resources represents the sum total of inherent abilities, acquired knowledge and skills, talent and aptitudes of its employees. the paradox lies inthe fact that even today the majority of challenges in organizations pertain to the human and social factors.it is true that productivity is associated with the nature of human resources and their total environment consisting of interrelated, interdependent and interacting economic and non economic factors(ie political, religious, cultural, etc).thus the significance of human resource can be examined from at least two stand points -economic and non economic.

Human Resources Information systems are especially useful for large organisations where personal details of every employee(say 1000 or more) are to be maintained in respective paper files. HRIS reduces the tediness of the task. Details of salary, promotions, trainings undertaken, wage hike and other benefits, Absenteeism and leave details, details of disciplinary measures can be integrated into HRIS and invoked upon demand. HRIS will help simplify the process of HRM but may not prove cost effective for small sized organisations.

You need to have lot of confidence in yourself. Do not seek the approval of people, as to whether, you are capable or not.
