Being a CAT trainer for the last 15 years, I would start by stating that there is nothing great about the CAT exam. It is purely the hype, which gives the impression that the CAT exam is only for the intelligentsia. Most of the IIT students get through CAT purely because they have a strong base in higher maths. CAT is divided into two sections of 30 questions each. The first section has Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. The second section has Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation. Most of the students get stuck up in the second section, because you have close to 20 questions in QT and 10 in DI. The only advantage of a class is the fact that it instils discipline. Your objective should be to make it to the top 50 B Schools in India. You have to necessarily score at least 97 percentile in the CAT exam to have a realistic chance of making it to these B Schools. You just need to put in 2 hours of focused preparation daily for 6 months before the CAT exam, to get a good percentile. If you are disciplined, I do not see any reason for joining a coaching institute

Hi Bhavesh, MBA, these days is the most preferred career option due to the tremendous variety of scope associated with it.
MBA adds as a plus for the student who is trying to advance or get promoted at his/her current place of employment.
To be eligible :
** Aspirants must have completed graduation from any background with more than 55 percent marks.
** Students will have to write an entrance exam such as MAT/CAT/XAT or ATMA to get admitted into this course.
You may look forward to appear in CAT, MAT, SNAP, XAT, etc as it will open doors of many colleges.
For MBA (IT) I would say that the scope is good, because organisations belonging to all domains, IT or non-IT have extensive IT infrastructure. For management of this infrastructure they need trained and experienced managers in IT and prefer hiring those with management background.

Its good to know that you wish to pursue MBA, UK and USA are the best study destination to pursue MBA.
MBA degree from universities in these countries is world wide acclaimed and acknowledged, however please remember in order to pursue MBA form good and top ranked universities in these countries you need to have at least 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation.
As per your profile it would be advisable for you to work for 2-3 years after completing BE, and then opt for MBA.
The advantage of this step would be:
You will gain relevant work experience, and you will learn how to implement theoretical knowledge in practical situations.
After working you will know in which field you are actually interested in i.e. if you are interested in technical field than you can pursue Masters in same field, where as if you are interested in management you can pursue MBA.
If you want your studies to be a blend of engineering and management subjects than you can pursue Masters in engineering management.
If you are interested in MBA, then this work experience would help you to get admission in good universities.
Finally if you work for some years, you can yourself finance your partial or full tuition fees of the universities.
How ever if you wish to continue with your studies, you can opt for Msc in management form UK.
The course curriculum of Msc in management, is almost similar to MBA, the only difference is, MBA is more of practical oriented course and Msc in management. is more of theoretical oriented course.

GRE is a test which need to be taken by students who wish to pursue masters degree in "SCIENCE/ENGINEERING" fields form universities in US, Canada, Singapore, Germany and many more countries.
As you have completed B.com, i.e 15 (10+2+3) years of education, UK, would be the best study destination for you, as universities in US requires 16 (10+2+4) years of education for admission in their masters program.
Secondly as you have completed B.com you should pursue masters in the same or related fields.
You can pursue masters in management form universities in UK, the duration of masters degree is 1 year in UK.
Universities in UK, have 2 admission intake in a year, namely:
Fall (August) intake.
Spring (January) intake.
Average fees at UK universities is around 15,000 pounds per-year, the tuition fee and living expenses might be more or less depending on the university and location.

Well I understand your concern. I would suggest you to either speak to the officials at your respective college. Try explaining them the situation, if genuine, may be they could help you by offering lateral entry after 2 years. Or you may even convert your regular degree into correspondence or if possible through online mode. You need to speak to them directly face-to-face.
If the college does not agree, then you may approach other colleges that offer lateral entry and even accept transfer cases for the program in which enrolled.
Else there is an education body called NCC Education that give credit to your every level of education. So your two years would not go waste rather would be taken as Diploma and Advanced Diploma respectively so you become eligible for 3rd year as per their rules.
