It is a brilliant idea if you want to get a Doctorate degree but I would rather suggest you to go to India School of Business for the same than going to US.
The opportunities here are ample then why travel abroad for the same.
Thanks and all the best.

Opting B.Com after 12th PCM but the only problem you will face will be the basics; basic of accounting, basic of economics; basics of business studies etc. 12th is a stepping stone towards your career and the best combination for the graduation and 12th is with the same subjects that you opted for in 12th. However, you can go for B.Com as well but it will require a bit extra of your efforts. You will have to learn the things that a commerce background would already know. I am not demotivating you but making you aware of the facts.

It is best you weigh in your likes and dislikes, know your interests, aptitude and career plans and decide. Also you have not mentioned your stream for any suggestions or options further.
