Virginia Tech is a pretty good college in USA and has a tight competition. You would need atleast 75% and above in your UG with a GRE score above 1300 atleast to get admission in this college.

To get into the competition in any top university, you need atleast 1400+ in the GRE to qualify yourself for the competition. Atleast 1450-1500 is required to crack the competition. Apart from the GRE, you UG percentage should be above 75% atleast to qualify you for admission.

The value of a degree cant be assessed based on a country but on the institution that is providing the course. If it is about the exposure during and after the course completion then Singapore is a very good choice. In the recent past the Government has come up with lot of developmental plans that have increased the job opportunities greatly. If you go to UK or Australia the living expenses will be higher.
