For Computer science, information science and other circuit branches it is 7-8 lacs p.a. on an average.
For non circuit branch it is 4-5 lacs p.a. on an average.

Definitely not, I myself have dropped a year and after twelfth. Only a few companies have this policy of not allowing dropout to sit in their screening, like in our campus out of around 98 companies which visited the campus only 5 of them had this policy of recruiting freshers only. Hence in my view it is NO PROBLEM.

SAT exam contains primarily Maths and English. English consists of Reading, writing, grammar and other parts. Writing an essay is optional, it depends upon the school you are going to apply to.
There are also SAT subject tests available that contains physics, chem etc. Subject tests have to be taken if your school specifically asks for them.
