You are absolutely, on the right path of building your career, as it is always advisable to work for 2-3 years after completing graduation and then pursuing MBA.
The B-schools, take into account only the full time work experience and not part time work.
The work level can be at executive level, Sr.executive level, Asst, Manager level etc.
Please note that, the final selection in MBA institutes is made on the basis of:
1. Education background of the students.
2. Score in various management entrance test.
3. Performance in group discussions and personal interview.
4. Work experience if any.
