IAS needs quite hard work. you should be graduate for it.you have to be more stronger in subject as well as in general knowledge.
to become IAS officer first you have to appear in a written examination conducted by UPSC. the syllabus of the examination mainly general knowledge and questions comes from various subject.

IAS has mainly three phases - preliminary exam, mains exam and then an interview. For the prelims questions are of objective type nature - from General Knowledge and once topic of applicant's choice from the list of areas mentioned.It is usually done in May-June. First of all I would say that you should remember that earning a handsome income is dependent more on your own caliber and capacity to perform rather than the program you choose.
However, there are several fields you can opt for after doing your B.Com, such as various certifications like CFA, CWA, CA, CS etc. If you are planning to go for a Masters degree you can opt for MBA, MFA, MFM, etc.

Hi Neenu,
Firstly getting in a college to pursue Bachelors at the age of 45 would be carrying a blur chances, but then you should definitely try but in any institute, offering this course, the minimum requirement is a 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Bio as the main subjects because without having studied these subjects, you would not be eligible for the mentioned course.

If you are planning to do a full time MCA then the eligibility would be BCA from a recognized University. The admission percentage would vary from University to University, however, most of the good University would require 55% and above aggregate percentage, some Of the Universities like Delhi University would even take Entrance Examination to admit students in their MCA program.
