Faculty : the faculty varies alot here from best to below average (in terms of teaching) , faculty profile , mostly Phd and Metch , many faculty members are pursuing Phd from IITs .
Placement : Placement is not that good for mechanical here in JSS fraction of mechies got placed through campus this year and average package was around Rs.3.6 lakhs. Companies which visited were Honda, Anglo-Eastern and few more core companies. Other recruiters were IT gaints like TCS , wipro, Tech mahindra etc . But here in JSS most of mechies go for GATE and few GRE(MS in foreign universities?)

If you want to prepare for UPSC and SSC exams, you must go for B.A. Because you can focus your mind on UPSC coaching or preparation for it. And B.A. Is an easy course so you can get graduation done too. And B.Sc. Is a bit though and you have to divide your focus on both sides.
