THIS IS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST DECISION TO MAKE BY STUDENTS AFTER CLASS 12TH. BUT FROM MY POINT OF VIEW IF YOU ARE CONFIDENT ENOUGH THAT YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO CRACK ENTRANCE EXAMS NEXT YEAR THEN GO FOR A DROP BUT IF YOUR PARENTS CAN AFFORD YOUR EDUCATION IN GOOD PRIVATE INSTITUTION WHICH ARE WELL KNOWN AND PROVIDES GOOD CAMPUS PLACEMENT YOU CAN FOR THEM ALSO. BUT IT IS SURE THAT TAG OF IIT'S AND NIT'S ALWAYS MAKES A DIFFERENCE. TAKE CARE AND MAKE RIGHT DECISION.
AND IF YOU LIKE MY ANSWER THEN GIVE IT BEST ANSWER AND FOR FURTHER QUERIES REVERT BACK.

Hi Yogesh,
Let me answer your second query first, although no degree can replace a degree done through a decent Institute and in a regular full time mode as it always gives you better career options and open doors for new avenues but to an extent it would also depend on your educational and professional background that which program will give you more options. If you are a working professional with good amount of work experience say 6-8 years even a part time degree can help you to get good options, but if you are a fresher or a person with 2-3 years of experience or you are planning to change your career then I would only suggest you a

Hi,
As you know there has been a long gap since you left the course and the chances to stand eligible for clearing your backlog is quite difficult but then all I can suggest you is to contact the institute / University directly with the available provisions related to the same as it depends and differs from one University to another.
Kindly revert for any further queries, also if you liked this answer then rate it 'Best answer' or give a 'Thumbs Up' rating.
All the Best!
