As every education board has there own system & criterion to PUC certification it will depend from which board you are trying to do your PUC. Although, it is difficult to appear for both the PUC together, some of the Education Board may allow to do so (like, Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. allows candidate with the gap period two years or more, to appear for both 1st and 2nd year Intermediate Public Examinations at a time.) So, you need to check with your education board if you can sit for 1st and 2nd year PUCs together.
