I have no idea of eligibility of BTech biotechnology at IPU but being alumni of LPU, I can assure you that you can get admission in BTech biotechnology with minimum of 60% marks in PCB and English and by qualifying LPUNEST exam.
After having a BTech degree from LPU in biotech., students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs, and institutions in India. However, most Indian students tend to go abroad to pursue their masters or doctorate studies in Biotechnology and allied fields. Some students also shift to MBA and enter the world of business, finance, and banking as their engineering background gives them the required quantitative skills to excel in these sectors. Also, many students shift to software through on-campus placements.
The LPU Biotech students have a vast scope as they can work in sectors of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, healthcare, food processing, nutrition, animal science, and environmental conservation.
There are many colleges and universities which are providing this course but It will be advisable if you do your degree from a well-known university like LPU and that provides prime placement opportunity, outstanding exposure, and professional enhancement training. Since this field is highly research-oriented, vast, and diverse, it is highly recommended that students pursue their graduate studies in Biotechnology at LPU, Biomedical Sciences, Biological sciences, Bioprocess Engineering, etc.
LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every one of eligible students to secure good placement. The university has been ranked high by foreign agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Several big brands of the industry have visited the LPU campus during a recent academic session for campus placements like Cvent, E-litmus, Talwar and Talwar Consultants, Roots Analysis Private Limited, etc. LPU students have also availed opportunities of Placements in government services like the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Transport Corporation of India, etc. through on-campus/off-campus placement drives and SSB Interviews.
