Thapar University is clearly better for B.Tech CSE than Chitkara University.

Why Thapar > Chitkara (for CSE):

  • Stronger brand & reputation

  • Better placements (higher average & top packages)

  • More competitive peer group

  • Better faculty, coding culture, and alumni network

Chitkara is decent if:

  • You want lower fees

  • Easier admissions

  • More hand-holding and structured discipline

Verdict:
If you can afford it and get in → choose Thapar.
If budget or admission is a constraint → Chitkara is okay, but not in the same league.

Hi,
There is no general CAT cut-off. Cut-offs are only decided by colleges and they have their own cut-offs. To know a college's cut-off, you need to check with the college itself.

Without any second thought I can say that ITM Business school Khargar is the best one out of the options asked in the question. It ranks higher, it has rich legacy, its alumni network is the strongest of them all, its selection criteria os the strictest of them all, its syllabi is most advanced out of them all and finally the placements which are the best of the lot. There is enough material on the internet available to compare them all, but I suggest you get in touch with any of their faculty members to get the first hand information on how they execute the programme delivery.
