With an education background in engineering, opting for Cyber Law would be entirely a different career stream and may not be a real good value add to your current profile. But if you are keen to pursue this course, you are definitely eligible for the same but still I would advise you to think over your decision to shift your career stream from engineering to law.
Instead you can opt to pursue your higher education with Masters degree in Engineering as it will definitely get you higher job opportunities in the particular discipline.
As for a career in Cyber law in India, Cyber lawyers have to crack down cyber crimes like hacking,credit card frauds,protecting / safeguard business transactions or encryption codes etc.The field is holding a lot of career opportunities like Cyber Consultant, Research Assistants, Network Administrators etc.
NLIU is one of the most reputed institutes in India to offer law courses and if you get a chance to pursue the desired course from this institute, it will definitely help you to have a strong foothold in the similar field.
